** TIBETAN HEALING ART COMMUNITY EASTER FESTIVAL ** What a joy for me yesterday to join the community of Flinders township yesterday for the opening of the Tibetan Healing Art Community Easter Festival. The Civic Hall was the most beautiful I have ever seen it, filled with colour and small stands. For the opening, I joined Li-Mai, who runs the local pharmacy, and Lama Tendar - resident on the Peninsula for over 20 years - to celebrate the work of Lama Tendar - a Buddhist monk from hte same lineage as the Dalai Lama, and local philanthropist, Mr Charles Kiefel AM. As part of my opening speech, I recited the tale of Charles’ meeting with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, together with Li-Mai and Lama Tendar, back in 2024. The festival put on workshops all day yesterday, and there are more today. I strongly encourage you to get along if you can! You will not be disappointed.
