Whether it’s “deep fake” pornographic abuse, escalating classroom violence and harassment or sexually violent group chats among students, the targeting of female teachers is sickening. Every child deserves a safe environment to learn, and every teacher deserves a safe workplace. More than 70 per cent of Australian teachers are women and it is shocking that so many are suffering from this vile behaviour. The Albanese government must act with the utmost urgency to combat increasing levels of abuse and harm suffered by the teaching profession.
