Education Ministers met today for the first time since the federal election and the first time since we signed the historic agreement to fully fund all public schools. That agreement isn’t a blank cheque, it’s tied to real reform. That includes Year 1 Phonics Checks rolling out in all States and Territories this year and next year. And today most States and Territories also agreed to bring forward the trial or full implementation of Year 1 Numeracy Checks to next year.
