This Saturday marks exactly 2 years since the late Labor MP Peta Murphy handed down her landmark report after a parliamentary inquiry into gambling harm. The Murphy Review made 31 recommendations for bold reforms that were backed by all parties and independents in the Parliament. To date, the government has yet to respond to a single one of the recommendations. Australians lose more per capita than any other country in the world. Along with other Crossbenchers, I have written to the re-elected Labor Government urging them not to put these reforms off any longer.
