This decision follows a tireless nomination process led by Murujuga Aboriginal Corporation on behalf of the Traditional Owners and Custodians, in partnership with the WA Government and with full support of the Australian Government. Australia is committed to First Nations heritage protection, addressing climate change threats to World Heritage sites and assisting international partners with heritage management.
