This weekend is the Buddha Birth Day Festival hosted by FGS Chung Tian Temple located at 1034 Underwood Road Priestdale. The theme of this year’s festival is harmony and peace. Over the course of the weekend, there will be thousands of families in attendance. Thank you to Venerable Abbess Manwang and President Michelle Lo of Buddha’s Light International Association of Queensland for hosting the welcome ceremony this morning. As part of the ceremony, BLIAQ Loving Care Group made donations to each of: The Brisbane Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust, the City of Logan Charitable Trust, the Mater Hospital Foundation, the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital Foundation, Rosies – Friends on the Street and the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
