Right next to a government-funded viewing platform at Lake Tyrrell, Murray and Marie Allan have been blocked from building a small, low-impact caravan park on their own land — land that has been farmed for 80 years.
A cultural archeology assessment was done.
It found nothing. Yet they’ve been stopped.
I wrote to Tanya Plibersek in 2023 when she was Environment Minister about this issue. An expert report was completed — but it still hasn’t been released.
