Western Sydney has lost a real gem, and I daresay an icon, with the passing of Uncle Greg Simms. Uncle Greg’s work across our region has been immense, working so hard to create connections with First Nations culture and identity. His presence in the local area was strong, always warmly welcomed. He truly will be irreplaceable. I respect those who patiently, calmly, with great understanding and care, work to bring people together - even if they don’t share the same views. Uncle Greg was one of those people. It takes a real love of people to do that. We will miss you - I certainly will miss you - Uncle Greg 🖤💛💔
