224. Hon Julie Freeman to the minister representing the Minister for Creative Industries: I refer to the Creative Industries Taskforce. (1) What was the process and criteria used to select members, and was there an open expression of interest? (2) On what dates has the taskforce met since its establishment? (3) How many times is the taskforce expected to meet in 2026? (4) When will the taskforce deliver its action plan, and will it be publicly released?
Hon Jackie Jarvis replied: I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. The following response has been provided by the Minister for Creative Industries. (1) Members of the Creative Industries Taskforce were selected for their recognised leadership, experience and contribution to the development of Western Australia's creative industries as well as their capacity to provide strategic oversight and sector-wide perspective. Membership of the taskforce aims to strike a balance between creative disciplines, geographic location and business types. (2) The taskforce met on 3 February 2026 and 11 March 2026. (3) A third formal meeting is currently being scheduled, with further engagement to occur on an as-needs basis. (4) The action plan is intended for public release by the end of the year.
