Ali Sabra

Ms JULIA FI NN ( Granville ) ( 16:52 :31 ): At the recent Guildford Leagues Club sports awards, I had the pleasure of presenting Ali Sabra the Young Sportsperson of the Year award for his incredible achievements. Ali is a talented young rugby league player with the Guildford Owls, where his hard work, teamwork and determination have already set him apart as one to watch. He is part of the Parramatta Eels development squad and has been selected to represent Lebanon in the under-16s team, a remarkable achievement at such a young age. Ali's dedication to training, his strong sense of sportsmanship and his commitment to continual improvement make him an inspiring role model for other young athletes in our community. His recent try of the year is a testament to his skill and passion for the game. His execution of not one but two chip kicks and then crossing over to score a try is a phenomenal single-handed feat. I also acknowledge Guildford Leagues Club for its ongoing support of grassroots sport and young players like Ali. I congratulate Ali on his incredible success. He has made his club and our community proud. He is definitely one to watch.
