Schools, workplaces, and community groups across the nation will ‘go blue’ today in the battle to end bullying on ‘Do It for Dolly Day’.

Dolly Everett was just 14 when she took her own life after being subjected to an extended period of bullying and cyberbullying, a heartbreaking story that devastated the country, but also sadly one that reflects the experience of too many young people across Australia.

Inspired by her spirit, Dolly’s parents, Kate and Tick Everett, set out on a mission to create a safer world for every child. They established Dolly’s Dream, a foundation committed to changing the culture of bullying by addressing the impact of bullying, anxiety, depression and youth suicide through education and direct support to young people and families.

Going blue, Dolly’s favourite colour, on Do It For Dolly Day helps raise awareness and funds so that Dolly’s Dream can continue to prevent bullying and support children and families affected by it.

Carlee Knight, owner-founder of Bairnsdale Horse Centre, has been a proud supporter of Dolly’s Dream for many years. She is one of the foundation’s most dedicated champions and the official Dolly’s Dream merchandise supplier.

Funds from the sale of any item in the extensive merchandise range are donated to Dolly’s Dream to help end bullying.
