Congratulations to Angus Taylor MP upon his election as leader of the Federal Liberal Party and to Senator Jane Hume upon her election as Deputy Leader.   Both Angus and Jane have a great deal of Parliamentary, Ministerial and real world experience. They will make a formidable leadership team. I look forward to doing everything I can to support them.   Thank you to Sussan Ley MP for her hard work and dedication to the role of Opposition Leader over the last nine months.   I have been particularly inspired by Sussan’s support for our Jewish Australian community following the Bondi Terrorist attack. Sussan’s strong response was instrumental in getting the Prime Minister to call a Royal Commission.   After nine election wins and 25 years in Parliament, Sussan is now retiring from politics and public life and I wish her all the best in the future.   Our focus must now turn to holding the Albanese Labor Government to account and providing a suite of policies based on our values to take to the next election.
