Yesterday I met with the Let Them Be Kids campaign. Brave parents who have lost children to online harm, advocates, and health experts, all united in their mission to make social media safer for our kids. Thanks to the relentless push from this group and the Coalition, we’re under 100 days away from the rollout of the social media ban for under-16s. But the job isn’t done. This is a vital first step, and there is still so much work to do to make sure parents, teachers and kids understand how it will work. As a father and grandfather, I know the fear and uncertainty many parents feel. That’s why clear communication from government is essential. 🍎🍯 Shanah Tovah – Sweet New Year Last night I joined the ACT Jewish Community to mark Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. May the tradition of apples dipped in honey bring sweetness into our lives, even as we reflect on a difficult past 12 months. It is hard to celebrate when so many families continue to grieve, and when 48 hostages remain in captivity. We hope and pray for their safe release. I want to thank Ambassador Amir Maimon for the invitation, and acknowledge the powerful words we heard from Michal Cotler-Wunsh, Israel’s Special Envoy for Combatting Antisemitism. Wishing the Jewish community here in Australia, in Israel and around the world a happy, hopef...

Defence National Security

I’m honoured to have been appointed today as the new 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐰 𝐂𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 by our Leader, Hon Sussan Ley MP. Over the past nine years, I’ve fought hard for practical solutions on the big issues — from social media reform to national security, defence industry, and mental healthcare. Now, I’m proud to join the 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘣𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘩 of a Coalition team that has always fought for Australians: delivering the infrastructure, services, and opportunities we need, and standing up to Labor’s higher costs, c...
