Agriculture Renewables

Our regional communities are deeply divided right now. In Mallee, survey results show only a minority support the current rollout of renewable projects — and we can’t ignore the pressure from mineral sands mining either. Farmland is under attack from every angle, and local councils are doing everything they can, but they’re being overrun. Families are breaking apart — brothers not speaking, parents and children at odds. I’ve never seen anything like this. This is what happens when governments push projects without social licence. Communities like ours should never be railroaded in the name of unrealistic deadlines. I’ll continue standing with landowners to fight for fairness. Media and Communications Broadcasting

Today, regional communities in South Australia and NSW woke up to no Channel 7 on free-to-air TV. Places like the Riverland, Mount Gambier, Griffith, and beyond have been left without local news, sport, and entertainment — simply because the networks couldn’t come to an agreement. This is unacceptable. Regional Australians are being left behind — again. Alongside my colleague Melissa McIntosh MP, I’m calling on the Albanese Government to step in. Access to free-to-air TV is not a luxury — i...
